Cheapest Burgers on (and Near) the Las Vegas Strip
Lately, we’ve seen reports about burger price gouging in Las Vegas and figured it was media hype. We’re already used to the Wall Street trash “maximizing shareholder value” in this town.
But burgers? That’s fucking with democracy.
Long story short, the Hamburgler would be charged with grand theft after a stroll down South Las Vegas Blvd.
We asked ChatGPT for help, but it spit out vague nonsense, so we actually had to dig through menus and reviews ourselves. And no, we didn’t include McDonald’s.
If you aren’t the readin’ type, the 2 best deals around the strip are In-N-Out and Spearmint Rhino Las Vegas.
Yes, you have that right. A Christian family-owned burger chain and a posh strip club. Welcome to Las Vegas.
In-N-Out Burger – LINQ Promenade (Under the Giant Ferris Wheel)
A classic West-Coast burger chain who still keeps their integrity intact, and still one of the few true bargains on the Strip.
You’re paying around $11.40 for a Double Double, Fries and a Drink. Making it the undisputed value pick for anyone craving a burger and not a $30 “gourmet experience.”
The lines will be long, but In-N-Out doesn’t cut corners when it comes to quality, speed, and service.
Shake Shack - NYNY
Appropriately located in New York New York, many New Yorkers will claim that Shake Shack is better than In-N-Out. They’re wrong, and the late Anthony Bourdain can vouche for that. New York can have the pizza and schwarma, but stay in your lane when it comes to burgers.
The Double Shack Burger should be just under $10 here. Not a bad price for something found in a resort. Add a few bucks for fries. And you’ll probably want a shake too.
Village Pub & Café – Ellis Island
Ellis Island has a reputation of having low table limits, solid blackjack, and good hometown food without the price gouging of the strip. You’re still looking at $20 for a burger. Granted, they’re loaded with toppings and have 1/2 pound patties.
They advertise a $5.99 burger special (which is vague on what’s included) + a player’s club is required.
Spearmint Rhino Las Vegas - Slightly off the Strip
Known more for high-class adult entertainment than dining, their kitchen serves a very legit burger and fries combo for $5 during happy hour. Just be careful, if you let the happy hour get too happy, that $5 burger and fries might turn into a couple of trips to the ATM.
If you’re going there for the burger, let the doorman know so that you can avoid entry fees.
Yukon Pizza - North of the Strip
Their single smash burger is listed for $12 with the double at $15, and their website mentions Lunch Specials from 12-3pm and Happy Hour from 3-6pm with no specifics other than the hours. This location is off the Strip, so unless you’re at the Las Vegas Country Club or leaving the hospital, it may not be worth a $25 uber.
Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay - Caesars, Paris, & Harrah’s Resorts
All burgers are starting around $15.95 which isn't unreasonable for a burger in a resort. The pictures look amazing but with locations averaging 3.2 stars, the expectations are higher with a celebrity name attached.
These are not sit down restaurants - you apparently walk up and place an order.
If you’re looking for a household name, Gordon Ramsay Burger will run you around $20 ($26+ for specialty burgers) and you can find them at Planet Hollywood with 4.2 stars.
Broadway Burger Bar & Grill - NYNY
Once again, we’ve entered $18.95 burger territory. And they’ll throw an egg on top of it, because who doesn’t like sticky yolk on their hands as they’re playing slots and walking down the strip in 110 degree weather.
Whataburger – Las Vegas Strip, Between CVS and The Shops at Crystals
A new addition to the Strip but a classic joint across some Southern states. $12.50 for the Whataburger, $18.50 for the combo. And that’s a single-patty hamburger. Add $1.25 for cheese. Whatabaddeal.
Irv’s Burgers – Miracle Mile Shops
A simple cheeseburger comes in around $7.99 - and when we say “simple”, we’re talking Simple Jack from Tropic Thunder simple. The Irv’s Original Roadside Single Burger burger costs $11.21. And though we haven’t tried it, it looks good.
The Classic Burger Combo will run you up to over $22 (includes double cheeseburger, fries and a drink).
There’s an Irv’s in the Durango Resort off the Strip. Shave a couple of dollars off per item to get a solid estimate of their rates.
Marilyn’s Café – The Tuscany Suites & Casino
Tuscany Suites is just around the corner from Ellis Island and has some great deals and promos. At Marilyn’s, you're in a $12.95 range for a solid burger or patty melt. And this is the closest you’ll find to a hometown cafe burger around the Strip.
If you want some true American Café hometown food you probably won't go wrong with this spot.
Conclusion
Vegas does a lot of things right, but with the Wall Street suits leading the way on scumbaggery and price gouging in this town, we need a market correction and an attitude adjustment. And Burgers are a damn good place to start.
Until that happens, In-N-Out and Spearmint Rhino Las Vegas will be the two places to get the best burger combo for your buck.
